Student Conduct Code
The WashU Student Conduct Code sets forth community standards and expectations for university students. These community standards and expectations are intended to foster an environment conducive to working, learning and inquiry.
Hazing Policy
As members of the WashU community, we have a responsibility to uphold the values of our organizations, and this includes taking an unequivocal stand against hazing.
Expungement Policy
The Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards retains student records for a period of ten years. This policy provides opportunities for students with certain disciplinary records to request to have their record expunged by the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs or designee.
Student Conduct Code Violation Reporting Policy
WashU’s Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) in responding to requests for information from a student’s educational record by an external agency, employer or another educational institution to which a current or former student is applying.
Student Conduct Records
Student conduct records are maintained by the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards and are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Disciplinary records are maintained for ten (10) years. Matters that result in suspension, expulsion and academic integrity are maintained permanently.
